Teaching schools are part of the government’s plan to give schools a central role in raising standards by developing a self-improving and sustainable school-led system. Collaboration is at the heart of the teaching school model. The alliance delivers support for other schools in their wider network. As a Teaching School, St Nicholas CE Primary aims to be at the heart of the alliance, offering strategic leadership and co-ordinating, monitoring and quality assuring alliance activities and expertise.

Schools working together, supporting each other, is at the heart of our alliance. We can broker a wide range of support, from one-off training sessions to whole school commissions.
CPD & Leadership
We offer a range of professional development opportunities for teachers and school support staff. We aim to tailor development to meet specific needs of schools in order to raise standards across our alliance.
